Following the 2019 Global NCD Forum on Children and Youth, participants identified a need to raise the voices and visibility of young people as decision-makers in NCD policy-making and program design. In response, NCD Child is launching the first-ever Young Leaders Program to meet this need through facilitating an annual global health leadership incubator for youth aimed to hone their capacities and contributions in international NCD control and prevention policy processes.  Applications are due April 25, 2019.

Through the Young Health Program (YHP), AstraZeneca works to engage and empower young people with information so that they can make healthy choices today that will lead to better health later in life.

The EIU research, Addressing non-communicable diseases in adolescence, assesses how ten representative countries of different income levels are addressing the challenges associated with non-communicable diseases (NCDs) among adolescents.

 

NCD Child convened its first Global NCD Forum on Children and Youth on 25 and 26 March 2019, supported by Friends of Cancer Patients and Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates.
