Ana Larrañaga is a Mexican nutritionist and activist for the right to nutritious foods. She holds certificates in, Social Determinants of Health, Diabetes Education, Breastfeeding Counseling and Environmental Education for Sustainability.
Her professional career has focused on working with civil society organizations. She currently coordinates the ContraPESO Coalition, an alliance of organizations promoting evidence-based public policies for the prevention of obesity and related NCDs. Some of these measures include the implementation of clear labeling systems in ultra-processed foods and drinks.
Ana is also the General Director at Salud Crítica, and an active member of the Mexico Salud-Hable Coalition and the Parliamentary Front Against Hunger.
Her main interest in NCDs is the prevention through the modification of unhealthy environments and the guarantee of Health Rights on the most vulnerable populations.
