Louise is working in the field of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and has a background working with programs in Namibia, South Africa, Uganda, Rwanda and South Sudan. Louise currently operates as the program manager for the non-profit ‘My Period Is Awesome’ with development cooperation, communication and advocacy. She believes that the connection between non-communicable diseases and SRHR needs to be highlighted more and prioritised in research. There’s a need to increase the knowledge about menstrual disorders to improve people’s health and rights.

Louise has ten years of experience working with tobacco prevention among adolescents in Sweden in the non-profit organization A Non Smoking Generation. She has been communicating with young people in Sweden about how the tobacco industry uses its tactics to lure young people into nicotine addiction and focuses on the tobacco industrys’ negative global consequences to inspire more people to be tobacco-free.
