Yuvreet Kaur was born and raised in India. After moving to Canada, she pursued her undergraduate studies in Biology at McMaster University, completed her medical school at the University of Toronto, and is currently a general surgery resident at the University of Toronto.
Yuvreet have been involved in an array of social justice volunteer and advocacy work, with her most recent initiative of organizing a mentorship program to help newcomer youth in Canada who are interested in pursuing a career in healthcare/research. She also has a key interest in research in non-communicable diseases such as obesity and cancer.
